Les études sur le gender and development (Cornwall, 2007; Chant & Sweetman, 2012) rappellent que les politiques de soutien à l’entrepreneuriat féminin sont souvent conçues dans une logique instrumentale : les femmes sont encouragées à prendre en charge le développement là où les États se désengagent, souvent sous la pression des ajustements structurels En Afrique subsaharienne, l’entrepreneuriat des femmes est majoritairement informel, à faible intensité capitalistique et souvent contraint. Les femmes entrepreneurs sont confrontées à des obstacles spécifiques :Accès limité au crédit et aux ressources productives (World Bank, 2019),Normes sociales sur le genre et la division du travail domestique (Gammage et al., 2016),Insécurités juridiques sur la propriété foncière ou les droits commerciaux (FAO, 2011).Pour mieux comprendre ces réalités, il est intéressant d’interroger la contribution de l’entreprenariat féminin pour le développement en Afrique. Dans une perspective économiste d’une part, comment penser la modelisation des initiatives entrepreneuriales des femmes en Afrique? Dans le prisme des sciences de l’information et de la communication d’autre part, comment se construisent les discours sur l’entrepreneuriat feminin en Afrique dans un contexte où les theories sur la mondialisation des entreprises font face aux problématiques de la citoyenneté entrepreneuriale? Comment les femmes africaines contribuent-elles par leur initiatives entrepreneuriales, à construire une identite originale et authentique des entreprises africaines?Cet ouvrage collectif propose des éléments de réponse à ce questionnement. Il met en évidence la diversité des modèles d’entrepreneuriat féminin au Cameroun en Guinée et au Maroc qui sont aussi bien économique, politique que social. Il analyse les modèles économiques et logique de promotion de l’entrepreneuriat féminin en Afrique (partie1) et l’entrepreneuriat féminin en Afrique face aux défis socioculturels et de citoyenneté (Partie2).
