Test mikrojądrowy (MNT) i test nieprawidłowości erytrocytów (EAT) są również innymi metodami oceny skutków genotoksycznych. Testy te są uważane za szybkie i autentyczne testy przesiewowe. Genotoksyczność wywołana u ryb pośrednio wpływa na zdrowie ludzi poprzez łańcuch pokarmowy, a także jest odpowiedzialna za różne choroby, takie jak rak, infekcje jelitowe i choroby skóry.
