Questo studio utilizza la tecnica PCR-SSP per valutare la distribuzione allelica e genotipica del gene AKAP lbc, che codifica per l’antigene HA-3, nella popolazione tunisina. L’allele predominante, HA-3C, rappresenta il 90% della frequenza per questo antigene. Il genotipo più frequente è l’omozigote HA-3C/HA-3C (80%), seguito dall’eterozigote HA-3T/HA-3*C (20%).Questi risultati fondamentali serviranno come base per studi futuri che esaminino l’associazione tra l’insorgenza di GVHD e gli antigeni minori di istocompatibilità HA-3 nei tunisini sottoposti a trapianto di cellule staminali ematopoietiche.
