Ziel dieser Studie war es, die Beziehungen zwischen Temperament und visuellen Bewertungsmerkmalen zu bewerten. Es wurde die Bayes’sche Statistik mit dreifachen Analysen unter einem linearen Schwellenwertmodell für Tiere verwendet, um die genetischen Parameter zu ermitteln und die genetischen Korrelationskoeffizienten zu schätzen. Bewertet wurden die Merkmale: Körperbau (CS), Frühreife (PS), Muskulatur (MS), Temperament (ET) und Auslaufgeschwindigkeit (VS), die im ersten Lebensjahr bewertet wurden, sowie das Absetzgewicht (PD) als „Ankermerkmal'. Für die Merkmale CS, PS und MS zeigten die höchsten Werte die besten Ausprägungen der Merkmale. Für ET zeigten die höchsten Werte Tiere mit schlechterem Temperament und für VS zeigten die höchsten Werte Tiere mit besserem Temperament. Es wurden Daten von Tieren der Rasse Nelore verwendet, mit 125.760 Tieren in der Verwandtschaftsmatrix, geboren zwischen 1984 und 2010, die der Agropecuária Jacarezinho Ltda. gehören.
