Somit kommen die Mitarbeiter täglich mit neuen Daten und Informationen in Berührung und können daraus für sich neues Wissen generieren. Ziel dieses Buches ist es, das Mitarbeiterportal als Instrument des Wissensmanagements zu analysieren und Möglichkeiten einer bedarfsorientierten Informationsbereitstellung zu betrachten. Es wird untersucht, wie intranetbasierte Mitarbeiterportale nachhaltig das Wissensmanagement im Unternehmen unterstützen können. In diesem Zusammenhang soll beurteilt werden, wie und warum Wissensportale die Aufgaben des Wissensmanagements fördern. Der Aspekt der Personalisierung findet spezielle Betrachtung, da verschiedene Personalisierungsmethoden es ermöglichen, Informationen bedarfsorientiert zur Verfügung zu stellen.
