Mit diesen Worten meldete eine Mutter während meines freiwilligen sozialen Jahres (FSJ) ihr Kind im BLC (Bambini Learning Center) an.Da stellt sich für mich die Frage: Was ist denn das Allerbeste für ein Kind bezüglich der späteren „Schulkarriere'? Kann nur durch frühkindliche Förderung ein erfolgreicher Schulstart, mündend in eine hervorragende Schullaufbahn, gewährleistet werden? Oder haben eher die Eltern das Allerbeste für ihr Kind im Sinn, die ihrem Kind „Das-Kind-sein' gönnen?Diese Fragen erörtert die folgende Arbeit. Dabei wird zunächst einmal ein geschichtlicher Abriss geliefert, der die Entstehung der Fragestellungen wiederspiegelt, dann wird die Entwicklung der Kindheitsforschung geschildert, um anschließend unterschiedliche Ansätze der frühkindlichen Förderung vorzustellen, mündend in persönliche Erfahrungen während meines FSJs.
