Someone Put Murder on the MenuA missing food scientist is troubling enough. Finding his severed head in a campus freezer? That’s a recipe for disaster. When a cereal chemist at Penrose College turns up dead, his department chair hopes to recruit the campus’s unofficial problem-solver-chemical engineering professor Alard Baak-to investigate. Baak has little interest in playing detective until his business partner, Dr. Quinn Zima, points out an inconvenient truth-their finances are scant and their equipment is expensive. Tempted by the promise of a generous fee, Baak reluctantly takes the case. What begins as a paid inquiry soon becomes a puzzle too intriguing to ignore.Baak and Quinn dive into a world of academic rivalries, blackmail, falsified research, bruised egos, and long-buried secrets. Everyone in Endicott Hall seems to have a reason to hate the victim. Some may have had a reason to kill him, as well.As the body count rises and danger closes in, Baak and Quinn must separate fact from deception before the killer strikes again. With Frozen Entree, Pamela L. Harris serves up a mystery packed with twists, wit, and a chilling final reveal.
