Formosa is a young boy who loves reading storybooks. He loves his bedtime stories so much that he dreams of becoming one of the characters. But Formosa also loves to color and draw all over his storybooks. He drew a mustache and bushy eyebrows on Mazu Goddess, and now she must hide away in her carriage. He drew all over Monster Nian’s body, and now all of his friends laugh at him because he looks so strange. Naturally, the characters of Formosa’s storybook become angry with him. It’s a good thing they can’t get out of the book to confront him. One night, as Formosa happily falls asleep with his book, he’s pulled into the pages of his bedtime story, where all of the angry characters await. His peaceful sleep becomes an exciting adventure as Formosa tries to make his storybook friends forgive him for his mistakes.
