Cal and Amanda Blake accept ownership of his late uncle’s ranch in Montana and move their family there to begin ranch life. An unexpected discovery of a silver mine on the ranch causes Cal to experience the true meaning of 'silver fever,' but he never tells anyone about it. Amanda realizes that Cal has become like a chameleon, attempting to hide his secret activities, but she doesn’t understand why. Cal’s greedy heart dictates his every move with a twisted and uncontrolled desire for the silver underground and not for what he already has above ground. Will he sacrifice his family in exchange for a bag of silver? What happens to loved ones while his body, mind, and soul are absent from them without leave? He boasts to Amanda that he can take care of himself; however, he sadly finds he’s truly possessed by a monster of greed. His daily struggles manifest more condemnation and a weight of guilt upon his heart, like that of a loaded bag of silver. He continues to ignore the pull and addiction that’s constantly boiling inside of him. After dismissing all responsibility to his beloved family and his new friends, he later regrets that his selfish actions have jeopardized his family and friends ... all For a Little Silver.
