I fertilizzanti convenzionali contengono compost e rifiuti domestici e non sono efficaci come i fertilizzanti chimici. Per questo motivo, gli agricoltori cercano spesso di utilizzare i fertilizzanti chimici nei campi per lo sviluppo delle colture. Ma ovviamente i fertilizzanti chimici non sono rispettosi dell’ambiente a causa della loro tossicità chimica che può causare l’inquinamento di acqua, aria e suolo. I biofertilizzanti sono microrganismi che arricchiscono il suolo di sostanze nutritive, aumentando la disponibilità di nutrienti per le colture.
