Sowohl zwischen als auch innerhalb der Disziplinen liegen heterogene Konzeptualisierungen von Familie und ihrem Alltag vor. Mittels eines systematischen Reviews entwirft Doreen Müller ein interdisziplinäres Gesamtmodell zum Familienalltag. Neben der Verdeutlichung von existierenden Forschungslücken zum Familienalltag kann das erarbeitete Modell als Grundlage für eine Operationalisierung herangezogen werden und bietet einen Rahmen für zukünftige Forschung, je nach Fragestellung die wichtigsten Aspekte (umfangreich) zu erfassen.
