Este estudo analisa a relação entre os factores macroeconómicos e o crédito malparado (NPL) nos países do Sudeste da Europa entre 2013 e 2022. Utilizando modelos econométricos como efeitos fixos, Hausman Taylor-IV e GMM, identifica o crescimento do PIB e a inflação como negativamente relacionados com os NPL, enquanto o desemprego e o crescimento do crédito têm relações positivas. O estudo explora igualmente a forma como o feedback dos NPL afecta estes factores macroeconómicos, demonstrando uma interação bidirecional. As conclusões contribuem para a compreensão da estabilidade financeira na região e oferecem recomendações políticas para gerir eficazmente os níveis de NPL, melhorando a resiliência bancária e a atividade económica.
