Avant l’avènement de la médecine moderne, il existait des plantes et les civilisations anciennes savaient comment les utiliser. Malheureusement, à l’ère moderne, le respect pour l’utilisation des plantes médicinales s’est perdu dans la vie quotidienne. Cependant, certaines personnes continuent d’utiliser des plantes médicinales pour se soigner au quotidien. Par ailleurs, la majorité des médicaments introduits récemment sont dérivés de plantes. Nous avons donc tenté d’identifier les sources de médicaments à partir de deux plantes différentes et peu explorées. L’extraction et l’identification de composés potentiels à partir de sources végétales et leur activité médicamenteuse contre des pathogènes humains multirésistants sont abordées dans cet ouvrage.
