Le problème central réside dans l’utilisation croissante de produits agrochimiques dans le secteur agro-industriel brésilien et dans le manque de pratiques efficaces pour protéger la santé des travailleurs, en particulier dans des contextes marqués par l’informalité, le faible niveau d’inspection et la vulnérabilité socio-économique. La méthodologie adoptée a consisté à sélectionner des études publiées entre 2020 et 2024 sur les bases de données Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science et SciELO, avec des critères d’inclusion et d’exclusion bien définis, ce qui a permis de dresser un épitomé critique de l’état actuel des connaissances. Les résultats indiquent une association cohérente entre l’exposition aux pesticides et divers problèmes de santé, notamment les intoxications aiguës, les maladies chroniques telles que le cancer et les troubles neurologiques, les altérations dermatologiques, les syndromes musculo-squelettiques et les impacts psychosociaux graves.
