Nestas circunstâncias, o Computer Aided Learning Tool (CALT) tem sido essencial para o ensino e aprendizagem do microcontrolador. A aprendizagem do microcontrolador PIC é muito fácil devido ao seu menor número de conjuntos de instruções. Existem muitos tipos de microcontrolador no mercado. Entre todos os microcontroladores, o PIC é o mais familiar. Este projecto apresenta o desenvolvimento de um CALT para o ensino e aprendizagem do microcontrolador PIC. Tem GUI de fácil utilização para familiarizar os principiantes com os conjuntos de instruções PIC com a ajuda de uma vista gráfica. Proporciona-lhes uma fácil compreensão e realização sobre os diferentes conjuntos de instruções. Uma vez os principiantes familiarizados com a instrução PIC, então o CALT fornece uma interface com simulador proteus onde podem desenhar os circuitos dos projectos baseados em microcontroladores e simular o desenho.
