La investigación que se presenta tiene como objetivo: elaborar una estrategia pedagógica de educación ambiental que contribuya, mediante la disciplina Ciencias de la Naturaleza, a la formación integral de los alumnos de 5to y 6to grados de la enseñanza primaria en Huambo, República de Angola. Esta estrategia se aplicó en el contexto de la escuela primaria 'Ndala Kandumbu' de la comuna de Capango. El resultado más importante de la tesis, desde el punto de vista teórico, está en el diseño de una estrategia pedagógica que aporta un nuevo tratamiento al trabajo de la educación ambiental: como elemento fundamental en el proceder del profesor y como dimensión de la formación integral de los alumnos. Además, en esta investigación se conceptualiza el término de educación ambiental en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje desde la disciplina Ciencias de la Naturaleza. En el orden práctico, está en la propuesta de estrategia pedagógica, que presenta: un Curso de Capacitación para profesores; un Manual de Educación Ambiental para profesores y alumnos con temas que enriquecen los contenidos del programa de la disciplina Ciencias de la Naturaleza, y una Guía Metodológica
