La biochimica è una materia fondamentale per il curriculum medico preclinico.È necessario insegnarla e studiarla efficacemente per la diagnosi delle malattie durante la laurea e la pratica. Ogni facoltà si adopera per migliorare le capacità di apprendimento autonomo degli studenti, ma spesso si nota che gli studenti non arrivano preparati alle esercitazioni. Per superare questi problemi è necessario modificare le esercitazioni tradizionali. L’introduzione di esercitazioni pianificate in anticipo nel curriculum esistente è stato uno degli approcci innovativi per rendere l’insegnamento della Biochimica più incentrato sugli studenti.
