Este libro es el resultado de una novedosa experiencia en el ámbito de los concursos de arquitectura. Se trata de los CURSOS/CON/CURSO, una modalidad donde se propone conciliar dos estructuras: la pedagógica y la proyectual, mediante la asistencia a cursos, seminarios, mesas redondas, con el objetivo de propiciar la formación y la profundización del conocimiento sobre temas específicos e integrarlos con una herramienta tradicional del proyecto: los concursos. Pretende alentar la participación de arquitectos, estudiantes de arquitectura, profesionales y empresas de la construcción a viabilizar proyectos que atiendan al bien público. En esta obra están las conclusiones de esta primera experiencia, que fue organizada por la Sociedad Central de Arquitectos, a través del CEDE (Centro de Estudio sobre Espacios Educativos), sobre un tema de fuerte impacto social: Diseño de un Prototipo de Escuela Móvil para Ámbitos Rurales. La propuesta surgió por la inquietud ante la falta de respuesta a la demanda educativa, originada por la radicación temporaria de los grupos humanos (población golondrina) o a situaciones de emergencia coyuntural (inundaciones, derrumbes, sismos, etc.). Esta idea vincula el Concurso de ideas de Arquitectura con Cursos de información y reflexión que atiendan a una problemática en particular y así surjan conclusiones y proyectos que ayuden a entidades que necesitan resolver cuestiones referentes a su hábitat o a crear nuevos ámbitos, producto de nuevas situaciones de coyuntura.
