Die vorliegende Untersuchung gliedert sich in vier Überlegungen zum Symbolisch-Sakralen im indigenen Kult der María Lionza, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf den Praktiken der Sakralisierung liegt, deren Achse ein spirituelles Zentrum der Marialionzero ist: die 'Fuerzas de Caciques' und die so genannte 'Calé- und Malandra-Linie oder Hof'. Zu den wichtigsten Zielen des Forschungsprojekts gehören: a) sich als teilnehmender Beobachter in die Dynamik der Sakralisierungspraktiken des Kultes von María Lionza durch spirituelle Sitzungen und in Andachtsräumen einzubringen; b) die Charakteristika und Prozesse der Sakralisierung des Kultes durch die theoretischen Beiträge der in Venezuela durchgeführten sozio-anthropologischen Studien zu erkennen; c) einige Praktiken der Sakralisierung auf dem Malandra- und Calé-Hof in einem spirituellen Zentrum des Marialionzero zu charakterisieren.
