Ein Fuzzy-Regelsystem ist ein Regelsystem, das auf dem mathematischen System der Fuzzy-Logik basiert und analoge Eingangswerte in Form von logischen Variablen analysiert, die kontinuierliche Werte zwischen 0 und 1 annehmen. Ein Proportional-Integral-Differenzial-Regler (PID-Regler oder Drei-Term-Regler) ist ein Regelkreis-Rückkopplungsmechanismus, der in industriellen Regelsystemen und einer Vielzahl anderer Anwendungen, die eine kontinuierlich modulierte Regelung erfordern, weit verbreitet ist. Da ein nichtlinearer Regler einen nichtlinearen Prozess effizienter steuern kann, kann ein Fuzzy-Regler eine bessere Leistung in Bezug auf die Anstiegszeit und ein geringeres Überschwingen bieten. Der vorgeschlagene Regler wird anhand einiger Simulationen bewertet. Die Simulationsergebnisse zeigen, dass sowohl die Übergangsleistung als auch die Leistung im eingeschwungenen Zustand besser sind als die Leistung des herkömmlichen PID-Reglers.
