Die Studie geht der Frage nach, wie eine Online-Diagnostik zur literalen und mathematischen Kompetenzmessung für die Zielgruppe gebrauchstauglich zu gestalten ist. Der Zugang zur Beantwortung der Fragestellung wird über aktuelle Erkenntnisse sowie theoretische Hintergründe zu den Themen computerbasierte Diagnostik, funktionaler Analphabetismus, Usability und Kognitionspsychologie hergestellt. In der Studie wurden funktionale AnalphabetInnen beobachtet und befragt. Auch ExpertInnen der Alphabetisierungspraxis kommen zu Wort. Die Daten wurden nach dem Mixed Method-Ansatz erhoben und ausgewertet. Vorgestellt werden u.a. Ergebnisse zu Computererfahrungen und zum Nutzungsverhalten der Testpersonen.
