Este livro, intitulado 'A importância da música no ensino-aprendizagem na educação infantil em uma escola pública de Espinosa, MG', teve como objetivo geral verificar como a música contribui para o desenvolvimento das crianças do 1° período da Escola X, em Espinosa. Entre os objetivos específicos, estão: analisar os tipos de músicas usados pelos professores, como escolhem repertórios e se os consideram importantes; investigar a presença da música no processo de ensino-aprendizagem; e pesquisar sua importância no desenvolvimento cognitivo infantil. A escolha do tema surgiu dos Estágios Supervisionados do curso de Pedagogia, onde se observou que a música facilita a aprendizagem, tornando as aulas mais prazerosas e significativas. A questão central é: de que forma a música beneficia o desenvolvimento infantil? A pesquisa teve abordagem qualitativa, exploratória, com base em autores como Loureiro (2003), Vygotsky (1991), Brito (2003), entre outros, além de pesquisa de campo com questionários discursivos. Os resultados demonstram a relevância da música na educação infantil, conforme exposto nas considerações finais.
