Este livro examina como as edições britânica e americana da revista Cosmopolitan diferem na forma como enquadram os artigos sobre saúde e boa forma física nas suas edições separadas. O estudo abrange as edições de um ano, em 2014, e analisa comparativamente 175 artigos utilizando um método de análise de enquadramento. Foram criados onze enquadramentos originais para efeitos desta investigação. Um terço desses enquadramentos foi influenciado por pesquisas académicas com foco específico em ideologias feministas sobre revistas femininas e representações femininas. Os outros dois terços foram criados à medida que as manifestações ocorriam na amostra. Os resultados desacreditaram em grande parte muitos argumentos feministas relacionados com o patriarcado e a objetificação nas revistas femininas, tornando-o um estudo informativo crucial sobre a representação moderna das mulheres nas revistas em relação à saúde e ao fitness.
