La pénétration de la production décentralisée (PD) modifie le niveau et la direction du courant de défaut. Cela entraîne une violation de la coordination des relais dans le réseau électrique. Les limiteurs de courant de défaut supraconducteurs (SFCL) sont couramment utilisés pour minimiser le niveau de courant de défaut et rétablir la coordination originale des relais. Dans ce livre, l’emplacement optimal du SFCL pour limiter le niveau de courant de défaut avec une taille et un coût minimum du SFCL. La restauration de la coordination de la protection est effectuée sans changer les paramètres originaux des relais ou déconnecter la DG du réseau électrique pendant les conditions de défaut. Dans ce travail, une SFCL de type réactif est présentée pour minimiser le niveau de courant de défaut. Un modèle de système électrique typique comprenant un réseau de production, de transmission et de distribution avec la DG est présenté pour déterminer l’emplacement optimal et la performance de la SFCL. Des défauts triphasés sont simulés à différents endroits du système électrique et l’effet de la production décentralisée sur le courant de défaut est évalué. En conséquence, l’arrangement optimal de l’emplacement de la SFCL dans le système électrique avec DG a été proposé.
