​Die Entwicklung pädagogischer Professionalität durch Conceptual-Change-Prozesse stellt die Lehrerfortbildung vor eine große Herausforderung. Die pädagogischen Vorstellungen von LehrerInnen sind biografisch gewonnen und damit emotional aufgeladen. Emotionen und pädagogische Professionalisierung sind jedoch ein weitgehend unerforschtes Feld. Warum treten Emotionen in Conceptual-Change-Prozessen auf und was bedeuten sie? Wie kann mit ihnen gearbeitet werden, um Professionalisierungsprozesse anzustoßen? Myriam Schwarzer-Petruck entwickelt ein Modell, das annimmt, dass für das Erreichen eines Conceptual-Change zwei aneinander anschließende emotional-kognitive Phasen wichtig sind: Eine erste Phase kognitiver Dissonanz begleitet von negativen Emotionen sowie eine zweite Phase der kognitiven Bestärkung begleitet von positiven Emotionen und dem Erleben von Autonomie, Kompetenz und sozialer Einbindung bezüglich des Handelns als LehrerIn.
