Es vermittelt die Grundlagen ohne einen streng axiomatischen Aufbau und führt viele interessante geometrische Sätze und deren Beweise vor. Ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Buches sind die zahlreichen Übungsaufgaben. Neben einfachen Fragen zum Basiswissen finden sich viele Aufgaben, in denen Erfindungsgabe gefragt ist. Zu allen Aufgaben werden ausführliche, teils weiterführende Lösungen gegeben. Je mehr eigene Aktivität der Lerner entwickelt, desto mehr Gewinn zieht er aus diesem Buch. Das Layout ist nach einem 'Zwei-Seiten-Konzept' gestaltet. Der fachliche Inhalt wird auf den linken Seiten dargestellt und auf den gegenüberliegenden rechten Seiten finden sich jeweils die zugehörigen Aufgaben und Beispiele.
