''Eleanora'' is a two-volume novel written by the German author Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and first published in 1785. The novel is a spin-off of Goethe’s famous novel ''The Sorrows of Young Werther'' and tells the story of Eleanora, a young woman who falls in love with the protagonist of ''Werther'', Werther himself. However, Werther is already in love with another woman, and Eleanora is left heartbroken. The novel explores themes of unrequited love, jealousy, and the pain of rejection. Goethe’s writing style is characterized by his use of vivid imagery and emotional depth, making ''Eleanora'' a powerful and moving read. This edition of the novel includes both volumes in one book, making it a comprehensive and complete reading experience. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world’s literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
