Esta contribución muestra los reportes de una investigación que involucra a la niñez otomí, la interculturalidad conflictiva, la elaboración de mapas vivos en un territorio poco estudiado. El objetivo fue mostrar el protagonismo infantil a través de sus prácticas cotidianas en la comunidad e identificar su participación y aprendizaje en la elaboración de artes y oficios tradicionales, con una metodología cualitativa basada en la etnografía. Los primeros datos se obtuvieron inductivamente a partir de las interacciones informales y formales que acontecen en el espacio comunitario. Se abordó el recurso de los mapas vivos para documentar, las prácticas comunitarias en Querétaro, México.
