Sobre IBD

El doctor Germán Pérez Rodríguez posee un grado de doctor en filosofía con concentración en Trabajo Social de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Es ciego legal de nacimiento y se unió al movimiento paralímpico en 1994 cuando fundó la 'Puerto Rico Blind Sport Association (PRIBSA)' que fue la primera organización deportiva de ciegos reconocida en Puerto Rico por el Departamento de Recreación y Deportes y a nivel mundial por la 'International Blind Sport Federation (IBSA) En 1995 fue co-fundador del Comité Paralímpico de Puerto Rico (COPAPUR) y electo vicepresidente. Dos años más tarde asume la presidencia.En 1997 formó parte del Comité Ad Hoc para organizar el Comité Paralímpico de América y en 1999 fue electo como el primer Secretario General del APC en el Estado de Mérida, México. Actuó como Jefe de Misión de varias delegaciones deportivas de Puerto Rico en diferentes eventos internacionales. En 2016 fue electo nuevamente presidente de COPAPUR, cargo que ocupa actualmente. 3
