En Colombia, existe una gran variedad de lenguajes debido a las 65 lenguas indígenas, incluyendo el lenguaje de señas. Dado que muchas comunidades migran constantemente, los docentes se enfrentan a la interculturalidad dentro de sus aulas de clase. Por lo tanto, este manuscrito tiene por objetivo reconocer el lenguaje Wounaan en el contexto educativo como un proceso de comunicación intercultural y demostrar desde la normatividad la relevancia del lenguaje intercultural en la educación. Sin embargo, ante la migración de comunidades; la comunidad Wounaan ha tenido que adaptarse a las costumbres de la ciudad y así mismo se respetan algunas de sus tradiciones que se practican en la ciudad.
