Este es El diario de Noelia,quien, de los 10 a los 13 años, va narrando sus inquietudes, interrogantes y dudas. Junto a su hermano Manuel y su amigo Victor, le dan solución a una serie de situaciones inquietantes e incomprensibles que los rodean. Para ello crean una agencia de detectives, ’Los Cangrejos’; y, de a poco, van dando respuesta a algunos ’misterios’. Por las páginas de este libro desfilan acontecimientos tales como el paso del cometa Halley, la visita del Papa Juan Pablo II a Chile, el toque de queda, el SÍ y el NO y muchos otros, característicos de los años 80 en Chile. La mirada inocente y asombrada de la protagonista va reflejando asimismo una manera de ver el mundo y el país de aquellos días, punto de vista que empieza a ser crecientemente abordado por la literatura infantil y juvenil chilena. En el epílogo, Bernardita Muñoz le dice a sus lectores, ’...espero que al leer El diario de Noelia puedas conocer otra versión sobre el pasado que aún nos divide y de este modo, ayudar a que nuestra historia no se repita’. 10
