Die Studie kommt zu dem Schluss, dass das Finanzwissen der tibetischen Unternehmer eher gering ist, dass sie aber sehr daran interessiert sind, ihr Finanzwissen zu erweitern, wie die Analyse zeigt. Obwohl die meisten tibetischen Unternehmer gerade erst die Sekundarschule abgeschlossen haben, wissen sie sehr gut über ihre Marketingstrategien Bescheid. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass die Stabilität der tibetischen Exilgemeinschaft, insbesondere derjenigen in Indien, sehr stark vom Erfolg des selbständigen Sektors abhängt, der mehr als 70% der gesamten Exilbevölkerung ausmacht. Die stabile Ansiedlung ist ein Hauptziel der derzeitigen Regierung, das ohne eine Verbesserung dieses Sektors nicht erreicht werden kann. Wenn sich dieser Sektor verbessert und effizient arbeitet, wird er kurzfristig zwei große Probleme lösen, mit denen sie konfrontiert sind, nämlich Arbeitslosigkeit und Abwanderung aus den Siedlungen.
