Con questo progetto finale, è stata realizzata un’analisi superficiale delle prestazioni di un grande simulatore di refrigerazione per il corso di Ingegneria Meccanica dell’UEMA. Inizialmente, viene adottato un approccio storico e termodinamico ai cicli di refrigerazione, ai refrigeranti, alle equazioni e ai diagrammi caratteristici della materia, oltre a descrivere il funzionamento dei vari componenti meccanici ed elettrici e la loro importanza per il corretto funzionamento dell’impianto. I dati sono stati raccolti utilizzando una piattaforma elettronica open-source basata su software e hardware (Arduino), con un’interfaccia che utilizza il linguaggio di programmazione EXCEL, VBA, in laboratorio. Sull’impianto sono state eseguite procedure di aspirazione e di ricarica del gas refrigerante per garantire migliori prestazioni della macchina. Al termine dello studio, abbiamo riscontrato la presenza di possibili perdite di refrigerante, che hanno determinato scarse prestazioni della macchina, con una scarsa capacità di assorbimento del calore nell’evaporatore.
