La carne di coniglio presenta caratteristiche nutrizionali eccezionali, in particolare un basso contenuto di grassi e colesterolo e un elevato contenuto di vitamine. Nonostante il fatto che le persone che la mangiano lo facciano regolarmente, c’è un’ampia parte della popolazione che si oppone al suo consumo. Le ragioni sono molto diverse e vanno dal benessere degli animali al prezzo di mercato (che non è competitivo come quello della carne di altri animali). Lo scopo della presente indagine è stato quello di valutare l’effetto dell’additivo zootecnico VITAFERT sulla risposta produttiva e sulla salute dei conigli in crescita. L’esperimento è stato condotto nelle strutture del produttore privato Yoesky Bacallao Valenciana, situato nel distretto di Playa, nella provincia di Matanzas.
