Effet améliorant de la fluvastatine et de la dapagliflozine sur le dysfonctionnement de l’endothélium vasculaire chez les rats diabétiques : Le syndrome métabolique peut être défini comme un ensemble de facteurs de risque interdépendants associés à un risque accru de diabète et de maladie cardiovasculaire[1]. [On estime qu’environ 20 à 25 % de la population adulte mondiale souffre du syndrome métabolique et que ces personnes sont trois fois plus susceptibles d’avoir une crise cardiaque ou une attaque d’apoplexie que les personnes ne souffrant pas du syndrome. En outre, les personnes atteintes du syndrome métabolique ont cinq fois plus de risques de développer un diabète de type 2[2]. [Le diabète de type 2, qui représente 90 % de l’ensemble des diabètes, est devenu l’une des principales causes de maladies et de décès prématurés, principalement en raison du risque accru de maladies cardiovasculaires, qui sont responsables de 80 % des décès.
