O presente trabalho foi realizado tendo em vista a toxicidade do flúor em populações humanas de áreas endémicas na Índia. O presente estudo foi uma tentativa de avaliar os efeitos do flúor no órgão reprodutor masculino - os testículos. Os possíveis efeitos terapêuticos da administração de aminoácidos (glicina e glutamina) isoladamente, bem como em combinação, para a mitigação da toxicidade do flúor também foram investigados durante o período do estudo.
