Les anciens régimes de croissance fondée sur la production intensive en capital et en travail non qualifié de nature tayloriens et fordistes semblent marquer le pas depuis la décennie 90. Les taux de productivité stagnent et la croissance n’est assurée que grâce à une tertiarisation forcée et des compromis entre les partenaires sociaux pas toujours stables. Tout cela se fait dans un contexte des chocs à répétition dus à la volatilité des marchés boursiers et des coûts à l’environnement de plus en plus insupportables. Face à tous ces problèmes, les économies gagnantes semblent de plus en plus celles qui ont choisi un nouveau régime de croissance qui mobilise d’une manière prépondérante la connaissance. Des actions sont prises au niveau de l’éducation et de la formation, au niveau de la recherche ainsi qu’au niveau de l’intensification de l’usage des TIC. Cette économie de la connaissance ne peut laisser indifférent les pays en développement qui s’y sont engouffrés avec succès pour certains d’entre eux. Notre ouvrage porte sur l’examen en profondeur des bases aussi bien théoriques qu’empiriques de cette économie dans le cas de l’Algérie en mettant l’accent sur l’entreprise.
