El objetivo del presente trabajo es dejar en evidencia el avance acelerado y continuo de la economía del don dentro de los sistemas socio-económicos actuales, invadiendo todos los niveles de la sociedad, introduciendo sus valores y principios en todas las relaciones y formas de la interacción humana; y como ésta puede ser una guía en el eterno camino hacia la mejora continua de la calidad de vida social, económica y política, y una alternativa ante la crisis mundial e integral actual. Es sabido que las utopías son imposibles de materializar en la práctica, que son solo posibles en el imaginario individual, o en el imaginario colectivo incluso, pero el verdadero desafío como sociedad es hallar una meta común, un destino final deseado compartido, mutuo, que focalice las energías y actividades de todos en pos del bien social. Esto no es tarea sencilla, evidentemente requerirá de años de un proceso consciente y deliberado por redefinir un sistema de valores globalizado, porque parece ser que esa es la tendencia y no se puede luchar contra ella, por lo que sería mejor explotarla, aprovecharla, intentar que sea beneficiosa aun más allá de sus objetivos iniciales.
