'竞技能力是运动员取得优异比赛成绩的核心、基石和主要影响因素。运动训练的基本任务在于通过合理组合和科学优化各影响因素,使运动员的竞技能力得到提高,从而在比赛中予以充分发挥。运动训练的可控制性是训练科学化的重要标志,及时把握和科学诊断运动员的竞技能力,正确分析和掌握反映运动员竞技能力状态变化特点和规律的有关参数,既是教练员安排训练和比赛的参照点,又是实现化训练的重要前提条件。在运动训练过程中系统地对运动员竞技能力的现实状态进行调控,无疑具有重大的理论研究和实践应用价值。作者简介苗向军，男，1971年生人，山东人，博士、博士后，教授，博士生导师。1993年，获学士学位：2000年，获硕士学位：2007年，获教育学博士学位：2007-2010年在北京师范大学教育学博士后科研流动站从事博士后研究，获教育学博士后证书：2013-2014年在美国密歇根大学留学：现在北京体育大学篮球教研室工作。被国家体育总局聘为2011-2020年《奥运争光计划》研制专家组专家，被国家标准委聘为全国体育标准化技术委员会委员等。主要研究领域：篮球运动员竞技表现与优化，运动训练与参赛管理，职业体育，体育软实力评价等。
