Jens Heger stellt ein Verfahren vor, das auf der prioritätsregelbasierten Reihenfolgeplanung aufbaut. Da keine Regel existiert, die in allen Situationen das anvisierte Zielkriterium bestmöglich erreicht, findet eine dynamische Auswahl bzw. Adaption der Regeln statt. Die dafür nötige Wissensbasis wird mit vorgelagerten Simulationsstudien berechnet. Erstmals werden mithilfe der Gaußschen Prozesse Regression Modelle gelernt, die für nicht untersuchte Situationen Prognosen über das Verhalten der Regeln abgeben. Die Evaluation in der Werkstatt- bzw. flexiblen Fließfertigung hat gezeigt, dass die Gaußschen Prozesse zu signifikant besseren Prognoseergebnissen geführt haben und dass dieses neu entwickelte Steuerungsverfahren zu ebensolchen Leistungssteigerungen führte.
