Drugs are a very problematic issue because they cause very difficult and complications in the person who uses these substances, especially in adolescents, who are not very developed both biologically, mentally, etc. Adolescence is a delicate age and where individuals are quite impulsive and want to explore things that are unknown to them and do not know what the consequences will be from them. The use of these substances at a very early age makes individuals create a dependence on narcotic substances. Drugs are an agent intended to give pleasant, sometimes necessary psychic effects, but its use carries the risk of abuse, dependence of the user on it, tolerance and many other negative personal and social consequences. The aim of this paper is to study the phenomenon of drug use by adolescents and mainly the prevalence and consequences in adolescent users. An important issue that this study explores is the impact that the family has on the background, the awareness that every adolescent has in the face of this phenomenon. For this reason, I conducted the study among the teenagers of the tenth grade, eleven and twelve in the gymnasiums of the city of Durrës.
