La disoccupazione di lunga durata rappresenta un problema sociale e politico, e combatterla è una delle grandi sfide del futuro. Poiché le risorse per combattere la disoccupazione di lunga durata vengono spesso utilizzate piuttosto per le aree urbane, le zone regionali vengono in parte trascurate. Nel presente lavoro questa problematica viene trattata sia a livello teorico che empirico. Viene esaminata in particolare la disoccupazione di lunga durata nella regione del Pinzgau, dove molte persone colpite da questo fenomeno sono escluse dal sostegno delle misure di aiuto a causa delle lunghe liste d’attesa e dei requisiti di accesso insufficienti. L’obiettivo è quello di rilevare l’infrastruttura sociale per gli adulti disoccupati di lunga durata nella regione del Pinzgau, individuare in modo documentabile le irregolarità e svilupparla ulteriormente in base alle esigenze attraverso proposte di miglioramento.
