Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Geowissenschaften / Geographie - Regionalgeographie, Note: 2,0, Universität Hamburg (Institut für Geographie), Veranstaltung: Wissenschaftstheoretische und methodologische Einführung in die Geographie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Diskussion um die Regionale Geographie, die auch als Landes- und Länderkunde bezeichnet wird, möchte ich in der folgenden Hausarbeit näher erläutern. Im ersten Teil meiner Hausarbeit werde ich auf die Entwicklung und die aktuelle Situation der Regionalen Geographie eingehen. Im Weiteren werde ich den Ansatz von Annsi PAASI näher erläutern. Anschließend werde ich auf drei verschiedene Ansätze zur „New Regional Geography', die von dem Geographen Gerald WOOD zusammengefasst wurden, näher eingehen. Weiter werde ich die Studien „Locality Studies', die aus einem englischen Forschungsprojekt entstanden, vorstellen. Zum Ende meiner Hausarbeit werde ich ein Fazit ziehen.
