Es ist mir eine Freude, über das Buch mit dem Titel „Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfung der Bevölkerungsdichte' zu schreiben. Das Buch untersucht die Umweltbedingungen, die im ersten Viertel des 20. Jahrhunderts in der Stadt Karatschi (der Hauptstadt der Provinz Sindh) herrschten, und vergleicht sie mit den aktuellen Umweltbedingungen. Das Buch bietet wertvolle Informationen über die Geschichte, Geographie, Geomorphologie und demografische Studien des spezifischen Standorts (die Garden Quarters von Karatschi). Einst waren die Garden Quarters ein ruhiges, friedliches und üppig grünes Viertel mit horizontal angelegten Wohnkomplexen. Leider verwandelten sich ihre ästhetische Schönheit und ihr multiethnischer Charakter in einen Betondschungel. Die britischen Architekten entwarfen dieses Viertel für hochwertigen Wohnraum mit gotischer Steinarchitektur während der britischen Kolonialzeit (Raj) durch die Erweiterung des Bombay Town Planning Act von 1915. Der 1947 neu geschaffene Staat misshandelte und kompromittierte die Bauvorschriften und verwandelte das gesamte Gebiet in ein überfülltes Viertel.
