Diese Vorstudie, die erste in Tunesien, die sich mit den Ringelwürmern Achètes des Lebna-Staudamms befasst, identifizierte neun Hirudiniden-Arten in der Untersuchungsstation. Diese Arten lassen sich in drei verschiedene Familien unterteilen: vier gehören zu den Glossiphoniidae(Batracobdella algira, Placobdella nabeulensis, Theromyzon tessulatum und Alboglossiphonia hyalina), eine zur Familie der Erpobdellidae(Erpobdella testacea) und zwei zur Familie der Hirudinidae(Hirudo troctina und Limnatis nilotica). Zwei weitere Arten der Gattung Limnatis sind noch nicht identifiziert worden und könnten neue Arten darstellen.
