Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Die Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Umstellung des Rechnungswesens von RAND WorldwideTM auf die IFRS. Der Kernpunkt des Papiers liegt dabei in der genaueren Betrachtung einiger auserwählter Bilanzpositionen der IFRS und den zusätzlichen Ausführungen eines Jahresabschlusses gemäß IFRS. Außerdem soll eine kritische Betrachtung die negativen und positiven Aspekte der IFRS näher beleuchten. Ein weiterer Punkt der Arbeit ist die Hinführung des Rechnungswesens von RAND Worldwide TM zu den IFRS. Dabei soll aufgezeigt werden, welche Möglichkeiten das Unternehmen hinsichtlich einer Abschlusserstellung nach IFRS hat und was bei einer Einführungsplanung hinsichtlich Ablauf und möglicher Probleme zu beachten ist. Gemäß der vereinbarten Zielsetzung soll RAND Worldwide TM durch die Diplomarbeit eine genauere Einsicht in die Welt der IFRS bekommen. Hierfür werden umfassende Erläuterungen zu den Pflichtbestandteilen eines Jahresabschlusses gegeben. Zudem sollen auch in kurzen Abschnitten die Unterschiede zum HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch) dargestellt werden. Ein Überblick über die aktuelle Rechtslage sowie ein Ablauf einer Umstellung auf die IFRS und mögliche Probleme vervollständigen die Diplomarbeit.
