Inhaltsangabe:Zusammenfassung: Emissionsechte sind Berechtigungen, die grundsätzlich frei handel- und übertragbar sind und die für den Inhaber das Recht verbriefen, eine Tonne Kohlendioxid in einem bestimmten Zeitraum abzugeben. Inhaber der Emissionsrechte kann jede natürliche oder juristische Person sein, wobei diese Rechte nur in elektronischer Form existieren. Aufgrund des Starts des Emissionshandelssystems zum 01.01.2005 wird im Rahmen dieser Diplomarbeit die Aktualität der Thematik durch den Schwerpunkt der Bilanzierung der Emissionsrechte aufgegriffen. Um die bilanziellen Gesichtpunkte im Einzelnen erläutern zu können, wird zu Beginn dieser Arbeit auf die Notwendigkeit und die Funktionsweise des Systems des Emissionshandels in Deutschland kurz eingegangen, wobei dem Zugang und Abgang von Emissionsberechtigungen dabei eine entscheidende Rolle zugeteilt wird. Im Anschluss daran steht die Bilanzierung des Emissionshandels nach deutschem Recht im Vordergrund. Hier werden Bilanzierungs-, Ausweis- und Bewertungsmöglichkeiten unter Berücksichtigung handelsrechtlicher und steuerrechtlicher Vorschriften untersucht und anschließend die notwendigen Angaben im Anhang und Lagebericht erläutert. Im nächsten Abschnitt dieser Arbeit geht es um die Bilanzierung von Emissionsberechtigungen aufgrund internationaler Rechnungslegungsvorschriften. In diesem Zusammenhang werden allgemeine Ansatzkriterien für immaterielle Vermögenswerte untersucht und Unterschiede der Bilanzierungsregeln zwischen HGB und IFRS herausgearbeitet. Im Anschluss daran werden die wesentlichen Inhaltspunkte des Interpretationsentwurfes des IFRIC zur Bilanzierung von Emissionsrechten beleuchtet und Ursachen für den Rückzug des am 02.12.2004 verabschiedeten IFRIC 3 untersucht. Auf die Beurteilung der Rechnungslegungsvorschriften nach US-GAAP wird an dieser Stelle verzichtet. Im folgenden Abschnitt wird unter Berücksichtigung des am 02.02.2005 erlassenen Schreibens des Bundesministeriums der Finanzen
