Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Ältere Deutsche Literatur, Mediävistik, Note: 1,3, Universität zu Köln, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In meiner Arbeit untersuche ich die Figur der alten Isolde in Gottfried von Straßburgs 'Tristan'. Welche Rolle spielt sie in dem Epos, welche Eigenschaften und Fähigkeiten zeichnen sie aus? Im Fokus meiner Arbeit sollen die 'Künste' der alten Isolde stehen. Die mittelalterliche Ausprägung der 'Künste', der sogenannten artes, lässt sich im Sinne eines weiten Begriffs systematisch in die artes liberales, artes mechanicae und artes magicae ausdifferenzieren. Wie lassen sich Isoldes Künste in diesem Zusammenhang werten? Einleitend gebe ich einen Überblick über den Stand der Forschung zur Figur der alten Isolde. Die wichtigsten Positionen, Entwicklungen und gegebenenfalls Kontroversen sollen herausgearbeitet und in ihrer Bedeutung und ihrem Verhältnis zueinander eingeschätzt und eingeordnet werden. Die Thesen werde ich anschließend überprüfen, um die Forschungspositionen abschließend zu bewerten.
