Na Argélia, parecem ter sido efectuados poucos estudos sobre as doenças da oliveira. O presente trabalho é uma contribuição baseada em observações e anotações de campo, bem como no diagnóstico sintomatológico de doenças fúngicas, bacterianas e causadas por insectos que afectam a oliveira. Foram efectuados inquéritos nas regiões olivícolas do norte da Argélia, de fevereiro a dezembro de 2024. Estes inquéritos revelaram a presença de onze doenças, duas de origem fúngica (murcha de Verticillium e sarna) e uma de origem bacteriana (tuberculose da oliveira,causada por Pseudomonas savastanoi).Oito doenças são causadas por insectos: mosca da azeitona(Dacus oleae), traça da azeitona(Otiorhynchus cribricolis), traça da azeitona(Prays oleae), tripes da oliveira(Liothrips oleae), neiroun(Phleoetribus Scarabeoides), psilídeo da oliveira, traça do jasmim(Margaronia Unionalis) e cochonilha negra da oliveira(Saissetia oleae).
