El trabajo se lo realizò en el Camal Municipal de Macará para determinar la prevalencia de Fasciola hepática en las especies; Cerdos: Bovinos y Caprinos. Se analizaron 317 muestras de heces de las cuales 170 pertenecieron a porcinos, 81 muestras de bovinos y 66 muestras de caprinos, las mismas fueron tomadas de las vísceras de los animales sacrificados en el Camal Municipal del Cantón Macará, los días viernes, de las diez semanas y fueron analizadas por las siguientes técnicas: Dennis, sedimentación por centrifugación y sedimentación simple. La prevalencia de Fasciola hepática por especies domésticas analizadas fue de un 0% para los porcinos y caprinos y un 25% para los bovinos. La prevalencia de Fasciola hepática por su procedencia fue de 0% para porcinos y caprinos, en el caso de los bovinos el mayor porcentaje de animales positivos a esta enfermedad fueron los provenientes del sector oeste del Cantón Macará con un 12.5% y el resto con el otro 12.5% distribuidos al norte, sur y este del Cantón Macará.
